After almost 2 years, I am on my first flight again. On the way to Brussels airport, the taxi driver asked me if it was for business or holidays. I told him that I was going to the Algarve to meet my business partner and work at our Yaloya Club location so we agreed that the purpose of travel was a bit of both.

Waiting for my plane, I just read the great piece TURNING THE GREAT RESIGNATION INTO GREAT RETENTION by Mikaela Kiner in Forbes. Her optimism and pragmatism shows a clear vision and leadership. My favourite quote: “While not every job can be location-agnostic, remote work has proven that location is often less important than good WiFi and strong relationships between team members.”

Yesterday we had a call from one of the international #lawfirms. They seemed serious about finding a new work concept including third places and enhancing their corporate culture. As Brussels airport is slowly waking up (it’s still very early morning), I reflect on the last two years. Life has become different. We’re in a new world. If we want, we can make a fresh start and try to do some things better than BC.

Thank you for sharing your impressions as well and this interesting article!
I am shocked by how some companies are slow to acknowledge that by imposing their own rules on when and from where value should be delivered, they are missing out on retaining a talented workforce, and hence the ability to deliver value in the first place.
#locationagnosticemploynent aka #workfromanywhere beats the old-style bean-bag or free-lunch perks by far 😀
